Topic: 36 radio face plate glass

I need the face plate glass for a 36 radio head...was it flat?
Will the 37 face plate glass offered in catalogs fit? Thanks!

The 35-36 Ford radio face glass is curved and also about a half moon shape. I believe the 37 Ford radio face is full round shape, do not know if it is curved or flat.

try Bob Drake, I believe the curved glass is reproduced.

A watch - clock maker can also help you out, they can buy the glass crystals in various sizes,
Try a good antique shop to see who they use for their clock repairs,
hope this helps, 37 RAGTOPMAN an KEEP on FORDIN,!!!

It seems a discussion like this came up about a year ago. The upshot was the lens was no longer being made. However, the dial plate was still (at least at that time), being made. It does seem odd that one part is being reproduced but the second part isn't. Perhaps this may be related to the difficulty of creating the unique convex shape of the glass

If this is not the case and they are available please let us know!

Sacramento Vintage Ford used to carry the dial glass. If it is no longer reproduced you might call around to the various V-8 suppliers to see if they might have a repo one sitting on the shelf.
