Topic: New Edelbrock 94 carbs

I order two Edelbrock 94s from Speedway and received them yesterday. They look fine but it will be some time before I get them installed (car is in paint shop). Bases are aluminum painted black and they have the extended shafts. Interestingly enough, the carbs are $349 ordered online directly from Speedway, but they are advertising the same carb on ebay for $389. Go figure.

I think the price difference is based on a theory that some people will pay the price for anything they see on ebay. Maybe they don't have a Speedway catalog to check their price. FYI, there was a recent post on the Fordbarn about these carbs. You might want to go over there and do a search for that thread. There was some info presented there that did not sound good. JM

E-BAY charges a LISTING Fee. plus a FINAL VALUE FEE. , plus if you use PAY-PAL they also have a Fee,,
and someone has to do the E-BAY store,
All this adds up,I think in time the price will come down, I prefer original parts, and do the little extra work obtaining them,
did you put a ad of want for carbs on this web site or the V8 TIMES, I am sure there are people that would helped you out, there are a few real experts with much knowledge on how and what to do if you have problems, I am sure that SPEED WAY can sell you anything, but getting advice when something is wrong, you are by yourself,
good luck with the carbs,
let us know how you made out with them....
my 3 cents worth 37RAGTOPMAN,an KEEP on FORDIN,,,
