Topic: When did they make 35/36 running boards

Does anyone know when they started making running boards for the 35/36 Ford. I know in the early 1980's, the V8 shop (which I think does not exist anymore) were making 33/34 boards because I purchased a pair. But at that time, Model 40's were the only cars I was interested in so I do not know if they were making the newer boards or not.

Back in the late 60's and through the 70's you could get repo running boards that were made in Argentina. They were poor quality , but that was all you could get at that time. In the mid 70's Drake began making the covers for the original running boards. I think in the early 80's you could then get new rubber bonded on your original boards by Hunley Acuff in Georgia. To my knowledge no one made new boards for the 35-36 cars until Drake stated making them a couple of years ago.Even though they are made in China they are a perfect fit and have excellent detail. Only time will tell as to the lasting quality of the rubber.
