Topic: EV8 Concours Documentation?

wrosenkrans    -- 12-30-2010 @ 8:06 AM
In researching some of the history of our 1942 Sedan I ran across an old auction listing from 2003 when the car changed hands. It states that the car is a three-time "triple" Rouge winner which I interpret to mean the car was shown sometime in the past prior to 2003 at several EV8 concours winning exterior, interior, and drivetrain awards for originality.

Is there any way to confirm that, i.e., does the club keep records of concours results back prior to 2003 by serial number or some such? We know the car changed hands in 1997 and again in 2003 and 2007 before we got it. I'd love to find some information about the car prior to 1997 when it was sold out of the Towe collection.

Yes there is. But, please remember, that documentation is only as good as what has been submitted.
You will need, the vehicle type (1942 Ford Tudor Sedan), VIN number, color, and what state it may have resided in prior to your ownership.

Send your request for information to the Judging Standards Committee Secretary, Ray Beebe at trifordv8@aol.com

He may ask for further information, but with the information above, he should be able to find an answer for you.

Nothing like a Rouge car for fun on the Concourse. I have a 5 time winner, and people like to look at those vehicles that show their age.
