Do you know of a source for the 1/8 inch thick safety glass for the rear window in a '46 convertible top. Is plexaglass acceptable as a replacemnet? Can one put a "bug" on plexagless?

The best suggestion is to order the window and frame as a unit from LeBaron Bonney. You can order the glass separately, if you prefer. The advantage to ordering the whole frame and glass is that the plating will be perfect, the screws not rusted or stripped, and the "grippers" intact. The part number for the frame and glass is Wf-FC. For the glass, alone, WF-FCG. Their website is www.lebaronbonney.com We use them exclusively because their items are first rate. As for the "bugs", the convertible rear window doesn't have them, as far as I know. I did have them put on the rest of the glass on my '47, but not the rear.
