I have a 39 coupe with a 40 trunk lid. Is there a difference in the lid spring loaded supports?

The trunk support arms on the 39 Ford and Mercury Coupes have the same P/N as the 40 Ford and Mercury coupes. Bob Drake makes reproductions and the set that I have on my 40 Mercury Coupe has worked very well for the past 15 years. Tom

Although the lids are different (39 vs 40) the support arms are the same as Tom advised.
