Topic: 11A distributor weight disc

Does anyone have a source for the 11A-12185 disc, distributor cam retard? I want to convert several 68/78 to the better advance curve.

You will probably have to look for another distributor to get the disk. If you want to tinker with the timing, a better solution is converting to the later vacuum type unit. Then you can alter the curve by swapping the coil springs. The flat springs in the old weight type distributors really can't be changed much, if any.

Cliff, Bob is right, you'll not find one unless you pull it out of a later distributor. They are marked 11A on the tang, easy to recognize.

I understand that Ken Isidor has them in CT. send him an email.

  Is your weights sticking,?
if it advances to quick you might end up with pinging,
was wondering what the problem is,
my 3 cents worth 37RAGTOPMAN

No, there is no problem except I have a bunch of distributors that I want to convert to the later advance curve for RG members. Yes, Isidor had the disc I found out.
