Topic: "36 water temp gauge?

Flatbob    -- 11-27-2010 @ 11:11 AM
I have a repro. water temp gauge in my '36 & it never did work. Is there someone who can make these work? Am I better off trying to find an original & getting it repaired?

look in the V8 TIMES, you should be able to find a original working, or a good one to have rebuilt.
also HEMMING'S MOTOR NEWS,
Also what about placing a wanted ad on this web site,
hope this helps. 37RAGTOPMAN

Flatbob: Give Baxter Ford Parts in Kansas a call. They have NOS & restored gauges for most old Fords. Good to deal with. They have ads in Hemmings. If you can't find their #, I will look it up for you. Tom

Obsolete & Classic Auto parts in OK City sell the sending unit. In mine, the red liquid has turned clear years ago but it still works. I am talking about the one that plugs into the left bank water pump and the temp attaches to the gage. Someone else may have a better price. When I run across a NOS, I will buy it. I didn't know there were folks that repair those. Something new every day.
