I need to have the lever type shocks from my 1940 station wagon rebuilt. They are badly pitted from rust and my need to be replaced. Who does a good job rebuilding and would have a good stock of cores?
Thansk,
Chris

Apple Hydraulics rebuilds lever shocks. Their web site is www.applehydraulics.com The job is a special challenge, as most of these shocks must be baked, then unique wrenches used to get them apart. Most will not come apart due to rust, etc, without the right technique.

I would highly recommend Bill Wzorek, 71 Cardinal Way, Florence, MA 01062 Ph#: 1-413-586-5324, email: wpwz@comcast.net
Bill took over Louis Trinque's shock rebuilding business several years ago and Louis worked with Bill to teach him the tricks of the trade. Bill rebuilt a set of '35 shocks for me and they are very well done. Apple Hydraulics would be my second choice. M&S would never get a chance to touch my shocks. JMO
