Topic: 1939 standard coupe fender mounting

How do the front fenders mount to the radiator?
Is there any bracket other than the inner fenders?
Is there a W shaped mount under the radiator that ties to any braces or brackets?
Does anyone reproduce or have any for sale?
Thanks for any help...

The front fenders mount to the inner splash apron only. The rear of the front fenders have one hole that bolts to the main car body just up from the running boards. Remember, the fender flange butts up to the inner pannel, not overlapped. There is also one bolt that bolts to the front fender brace. Hope this helps.

The inner fender panel fits up under the inside fender flange on the "tire side" of the fender, there is a cross-brace ahead of the radiator tying the fenders together (91A16626) at the rear of the lower grille that also provides for the hood latch. In addition, there is a brace that runs from the fender/inner fender panel juncture that angles down to the frame. Of course the lower grille halves also help tie it all together.

The only body attachment to the radiator are the tabs that help secure the hood side panels.

I'm looking for one fender to frame brace myself, so if you or anyone else finds a "trove" of 38 Deluxe or 39 Standard front sheet metal parts PM me, I'd appreciate hearing from you.

I know Bob Drake has the fender to main brace in reproduction. Fits 35 to 39 standard.
Any pictures of the mount I need would sure help. Thanks

I have used Mac's (www.macsautoparts.com) online parts catalog to procure reproduction parts, also for visual perspective. Their technical personnel (800-777-0948)have also been most helpful.
