  Nope, most coolant Mfgr's recommend a 50/50 blend so 2.5 gals would be appropriate. ?5 gallon system? must be a big truck!

  Follow the directions on the antifreeze container. Different formulations require different dilutions. For instance, for equal protection, it takes more polypropylene (Sierra) than ethylene glycol (Prestone) for the same temperature. Adding a container of anti-rust is also a good idea, particularly in those years between coolant changes. Coolant more than three years old gets acidic, and should be replaced.
