I would much appreciate as many color photographs as I can get of 1937 Ford Phaeton's (or 4-door convertibles) as possible. I start painting next month and would like to visualize the car in the different factory painted colors that were available at the time. Through the internet I have found several 37 Phaeton's finished in Washington Blue and Ragtopman's perfect example of a 2-dr Cabriolet gives me a good idea of how beautiful a Phaeton may look painted Desert Sand. Page 56 of this months V8 times has an ad for Mac's Auto Parts with a car painted in a two-tone finish. Were two-tone finishes of this sort ever an option on 37 Convertibles and/or Phaetons? Or would one consider this a custom paint finish? Page 57 has a car finished in either Adobe Tan or Desert Sand. Can anyone tell me what this shade actually is ?

As far as I can determine, 1940 was the first year for Tutone on a Ford car. Tom
