When installing the door windows in my 39 Std. Ford, should you slide the glass up from the bottom or down from the top?

I've always found it easier to come out from the bottom. I always take the regulator, channel, and glass out as one unit.

It is easy to put the glass in from the top by starting the front end first with The channel on it. Then work it down until you get to the regulator and crank the regulator into the channel slots. This is how the glass shops used to do it.
