The choke control rod seems to be too short. When it is pushed all of the way in the choke is still partially closed. I suspect this is because my '34 has s Stromberg 97 rather than the original carb. Anybody have a fix for this problem?

We lengthen the shaft between the joints by cutting it and inserting a piece of tubing. When you have the right length, the tubing can be brazed or spot welded to keep it in place.
