  Help...

My 39 rumble seat opening has three water troughs, one at the top and a connecting trough on each side that roll downward past the hinge casting. There is no apparent water sealing ability along the last third of each side or at the bottom of the opening.

How did Henry control water drainage past this section of the lid? What am I missing?

Also, who has the correct rumble seat lid seal rubber. Drake lists two different seals but shows the same application picture.

Thanks in advance.

abchurch, The drainage channels are open at the bottom edge to drain directly onto the rear floorboard. There are two drain holes there, exiting the car. These holes frequently get plugged with debris, causing water to stand and consequently to rust out the floorboard. There is a water dam, about two inches tall, running side to side, to prevent water from moving forward to the cab. This metal dam is spot welded in place, and sealed with some sort of dum dum.
