Topic: 36 king pin replacement

My 36 needs new king pins. Would it be wise to install 37 spindles and 37 kingpins instead? Is the 37 thrust bearing placement a better design?

The bearings and bushings are the same, so there isn't much reason to change spindles. All king pin bushings must be reamed to fit the new king bolts. Pull off the spindles and take them, together with the new bushings and pins to a machine shop to get the proper clearance. Be sure to get the whole kit that includes the locks and other components.

  try finding NOS AMERICAN MADE,
this will last longer then the cheap repros, and will be safer,
