Topic: 49 sedan heater question.

I have been talking to Chris at shoeboxford.com and I seem to have him stumped. Has anyone seen a setup like the heater valve I have in my 49? I am going to attach a pic or two. The car is a Canadian built model I beleive if it makes a difference. There is a block off plate overe the oval hole in the firwall where the tubes for the heater valve would normally come through. The plate and screws are original body colour paint (or appear to be) and there is bare metal under the plate on the firewall. Also, the cardboard firewall insulation pad has a score where you would cut the hole when installing the valve but it has not been cut out. Can anyone shed any light on what I might have here? Any help will certainly be appreciated. Thanks, Scott.

Cheers, Scott.
