What is the width of a rim for a 16" x 6.00" tire? I'm looking for a good spare tire rim for my '47 Fordor. I saw an auction on ebay yesterday for a 16" x 4" rim that was supposed to fit '41-'48. It makes sense to me that a rim, meant to hold a 6" wide tire, may measure 4" wide but I'm not willing to risk it. Any information from some of you with experience here would be appreciated. Chris

A 16" x 4" rim is what came on your car from the factory. Rim width is properly measured between the beads.
