This is not a serious problem but I can`t seem to keep the w/s frame from getting pushed in by the wind at speeds over 40mph. It stops against the vacuum wiper pipe will driving and I have to push out the frame every time I stop. I tried tightening the wing nuts tighter but don`t want to damage the threads. Is there suppose to be something between the cones and the w/s posts to help this or is it normal for the w/s to always get pushed back by the wind?

Did you try using fiber washers or small 'O' rings?
maybe from some carb overhaul kits, also hardware plumbing washer kits.
its worth a try,
I had the same problem with a MODEL A SEDAN with the windshield kept on closing, and added a fiber washers and problem solved.
metal washers will or seem to slip.
hope this helps,37RAGTOPMAN an KEEP on FORDIN...!!!
Also NICE FORD'S in the pictures.
