Anyone know how the bottom backrest cushion springs on a rumble seat mounts on the rumble lid so it does not jump up and down, and what hardware I need? Thanks.

I'm not familiar with the '36, but the rumble seat back on my Model A hooked over holes in the trunk lid lining, and the bottom of the supports were secured to the underside of the lid. A good source of info is LeBaron Bonney. They make a rumble seat backrest spring set for the '35-'36 roadsters as part number S320. Their e-mail address is lbb-hc@greennet.net. The backrest hooks into the top of the lid and the bottom of the cushion has two tabs on the bottom with slotted holes. These tabs are scr*w*d down to the lid at the bottom.

And does the rumble bottom cushion just sit on the floor, or is it held in place with any hardware? There are those two fingers that stick up, and my replacement bottom spring has a couple of coils that almost fit, but is that it? The bottom rumble cushion should have two areas (one on each side) with a small cone shaped metal coil. That coil drops over the "fingers" that stick up from the bottom of the rumble seat riser.
