Hello, My name is TonyM and I am new member from Illinois. I just joined the Early Ford V-8 Club of America; I sent my check on Tuesday. I own a 1953 Flathead; it is restorable. My wife and I are looking forward to buying a very fine pre-war Ford V-8 automobile next fall. We are saving up for it. When I was a very young kid in the late 1960s, my father owned a 1937 Fordor Deluxe Touring Sedan. That car formed some of my earliest memories and I look back fondly on the times we took rides in that car. I remember the iconic Ford V-8 insignia being all over everything on that car. Even though my brother and my father are into 1941 Buick Straight Eight cars big time, I am really looking forward to having my own pre-war Ford V-8 so I can go on over to my father's house and let him drive it. TonyM: Welcome to the club and the forum. It sounds like you and I are about the same age { little kid in the 60's }. I've had many people ask me how I got into Flatheads at my age { 25 when I bought my first one in 1983 }. Anyway, good to have you aboard. You will find a mine of information on this site with those who are ready to help with their vast knowledge of these vehicles. Enjoy!
