is there any id tags on the 1936 ford pickup trucks or a way to decode the vin # or is the number stamped on the frame and on the bellhousing the only id # on the truck?

The number stamped on the frame and the bellhousing is the only ID# for your vehicle. It is a sequential serial number starting with 18-1 in 1932 and continuing until the end of production in the 1940s. There is no code to it as you find on vehicles today. There are body number tags for some of the cars but to my knowledge none for pickup trucks. In any event these were only a sequential body number with no code.
