Did Ford make a luggage rack for '37 Fords? If they did can someone post a picture?

According to the Club's 1937 Ford Book, there was two available as an accessory. (page 6-9) There was one for the Tudor and Fordor Sedans, Roadster, Coupe, Club Coupe Cabriolet and Club Cabriolet and one available for the Tudor and Fordor Touring Sedans (hump backs), Phaeton and Convertible Sedan.
The racks were identical except for their mounting brackets.
It should be noted that with the new spacious trunks of the 1937 passenger vehicle, the trunk rack was probably not a big seller.

If you do not have the Club's book, it can be purchased from the Club's Online Store. https://shop.efv8.org

  Hi OConrad:
As Nelsb said, there are two racks for 1937, part numbers 78-18575-A and 78-18575-B. The "A" version fits car models 700-A, B, 710, 720, 730-A, B, 760-A, B, 770-A, and B. The "B" version fits 700-C, D, 730-C,D, 740 and 750. These racks were accessories. The racks themselves were painted black or car body color with stainless steel rub strips. The mounting brackets were painted black. I believe the only difference between the A and B racks were the mounting brackets. There is a photo of the rack in The 37 Ford Book and the author also comments that: " The luggage racks which actually appeared on 1937 Fords differed from those shown in Ford literature". Good luck finding the correct rack...one-year parts for 1937 are a challenge to find.
