Anybody know if the Dennis Carpenter cigar lighter (he calls it cigarette lighter element)
11A-15055 will work in a 39 dash? thanks

This vendor shows it listed for '39:

I would be careful with the lighter. There is no fuse or breaker in that circuit. Kube has posted that in all the years he has been restoring these cars, the only electrical smoldering/fire he has ever seen started at the lighter. He said when he restores a car, he cuts back the copper conductor within the wire going to the lighter so no electric can get to it. I just disconnected the lighter on my car.

Wanting everything to work as original, (radio, wipers, clock), cigar lighter, I hooked up the lighter on my '38. On a road trip in the middle of nowhere, my wife tested it, not knowing it wasn't automatic. Burned up my under-dash wiring and my fingers pulling at those red hot wires.
