According to the Green Bible the main housing is part 48 3548 for 1935-6, that number may be cast into the housing. The housing for 1937-48 is part number 21A 3548-A and that number may appear. If you find a different number post it. The important difference if the later steering uses a sector shaft with a bearing mounted contact surface. The steering is greatly improved and people frequently use the later steering in 1936 vehicles.
