i just purchased a33 f ord It is all original. It has been setting for 33 years. What do I need to do before I try starting ? as you can see it cleaned up pretty good.It was stored in dry storage for almost 40 years.

6V, + ground. can you rotate the engine using the fan? How long has the car not run? Is there fuel in the gas tank? A photo of the engine bay would be helpful. Does the car have an electric fuel pump? V8 or 4 Cyl?
Beautiful car.

When the hood is up, let it rest on indent, they do get bent.

The engine turns over and I replaced the gas tank with a new one all the lines are good I replace both water pumps and I will be replacing the fuel pump I plan on taking the plugs out and put a little marvel mystery oil in each cylinder and let it sit for a little bit

Please don't rotate the engine using the fan. That is how cracks start leading to fan failure. Do you have a crank? If not borrow of buy one.

  Yeah I wouldn’t do that

I couldn’t find the indent maybe because I’m blind. I have a question the radiator in the 33 is not pressurized I presume?this car hasn’t run in 53 years.I was told that it was 33.

The cooling system in the 1933 Ford is not pressurized.

There are no indentations on the cowl lip for the hood side panels to nest into when raised on a '33; that's a '34 addition. It is also fairly clear from the hubcaps and grille ornament that it's a V8.

Nice looking Fordor; congratulations!

Wow that’s a beauty! Lucky you. I would send the carb and fuel pump to Charlie Schwendler to be cleaned and updated to gaskets favorable to today’s gas. That’s something I do automatically for any new Ford I get, running or not.
