Does anyone have experience in this nasty job? My clock is running fine now, but when I try to reinstall it, there is a gap of about 1/4" between the glass and chrome bezel in the dash. Is there supposed to be a spacer of some sort in there so it doesn't rattle? Perhaps I didn't reassemble the parts in the correct order? I appears that I need a thick gasket of some sort between the clock face and the glass assembly? Would there be a parts list somewhere with a schematic showing the entire assembly? Thanks for any insights. The vehicle is a '47 Woodie.

There is a gasket between the glass and the bezel. There also may be one between the body of the clock and the glass.

Thank you - That's what I'm coming to realize. I have just a thin, cork gasket glued to the glass. but as you say, there must be a much thicker gasket that goes between the chrome bezel & the chrome dash. Maybe I'll have to make one. Thanks again.
