Topic: Start a '35

I am trying to wake up a '35 and can't remember if it has a negative ground. My old book doesn't make it clear to me. This is my first post. Be kind.

Unless you or someone else changed it from original set up, it should be positive ground. JM

  Thank you JM.
It is an original setup. I took the battery out of it some time ago and wasn't sure. The carb and fuel tank were empty so I must have drained them years ago. I'll stop for today. Have to turn the battery around.
The club used to be in California. Looks like the location has changed.

Ken, some of the Club functions have changed over the years. We now use a subscription service in Minnesota to handle new subscriptions and renewals. Many of our functions can be done via this website. We had to change with the times. It's still the same club with the same great people, we just modernized some of the basic functions.

  I'm in Houston.

It is awake! I couldn't get it to fire so I put another distributor on it this afternoon and away it went. Looks like I may hit the streets this weekend. I haven't driven the car in at least six years.

I don't know what is the matter with the other distributor. It seems to have NOS points and rotor.

Send the bad one to Skip's to be rebuilt and kept as a spare.

  Lightflyer,

Who is Skip? Mine is the three hole coil type. Do you have the contact info for Skip?

Thank you,
Ken

Ken, Skip Haney is the usual suspect for high volume water pumps and remanufactured coils. Forget about the "new" ones. They are made in China junk, or have aged on the shelf till they are no longer good. Skip also sets up distributors. Excellent quality, fast turnaround, and first rate customer service.
