Topic: 1936 Phaeton

I recently listed this car for auction on a leading auction site (not BaT…) and have received multiple offers slightly below the $30,000 reserve. Thinking about what I truly want for the car, it is, more than anything, a good home with someone who will advance the project. Kubes and others have dipped into their personal stocks of unobtanium to help along the way and I think it important that a community member be the next steward. With this in mind, and knowing the car must be shipped from Maine, and with the promise (!) to the community that you will keep us posted on your progress, please let me know if you have interest and I will do right by you, the community, and the hobby. Thank you.

How much of a project is this car? What work still needs to be completed?
Have all of the mechanicals: engine, transmission & rear end been rebuilt?
Are all of the side curtains and window hardware present and in good working order?
What is the condition of the interior upholstery and woodgraining?
Is the body rustfree and straight?
How is the paint? Is it a correct 1936 Ford Phaeton color?
Is the car a good driver as is?
What problems does the car have?
Are the tires, wheel bearings, other running gear, etc. new/good enough that the car could be driven long distances without a lot preliminary work and expense?
Does car have working heater and radio?
Have any modifications been made to the electrical system, engine, transmission, steering or brakes?
Does the engine have babbit main bearings or the later type of insert bearing sh*lls?
Does the engine burn and/or leak any oil?
Does the engine run hot or have any cooling issues?
Is the car complete or are some parts missing or need to be installed?
