Topic: 1934 Cowl Vent Drain tubing length

1934 Sedan Tudor Deluxe has a rubber tubing connected to the cowl vent drain nipple. This travels through the firewall, the firewall grommet (between the choke and throttle), and into the engine compartment. My question is how far does this tubing travel inside the engine compartment? I’ve seen 2-3 inches protruding from the firewall. Also a full drain age tube down along the firewall to under the engine. The first is consistent with the tube supplied by vendors. But full length drainage makes more sense. So what is the correct length? Thank you. Glenn Hamilton, Dayton, OH

Original is a 2"-3" protrusion from the outer face of the firewall.
