I when to change my ignition switch and noticed on the back of the original one I removed had 3 pins. 1) Marked Coil, 1) Marked GA, 1) Marked AM
The new switch has Bat. Coil, and GA marked in the back.

So, what does AM Stand for?

  Blase,

On your old switch the terminals meant: Coil - obvious, GA - gauges and accessories, AM - ammeter - the wire that ran from the battery through the ammeter. AM would equate to the Bat terminal on the new switch.
