Ford referred to the color as "Green Motor Block Pyroxylyn, M-979". It was used on the cast iron engine parts: cylinder block (except for the valley between the intake manifold and the heads), cast iron cylinder heads, cast iron intake manifold, engine front cover, water pumps and pulleys. One source for this paint is C&G Early Ford Parts.
