There should not be a reason to "take them apart". Sandblasting and painting should be all that is needed. If you look close at the flat area between the clips -- you should find Ford Scrip and then a date code as to when the rims were manufactured.

if the wheels you have are very badly rusted with deep rust, discard them in favor of wheels that have only light surface rust. Have the wheels spun up on a balancing machine to check for trueness, then media blasted, primed and powder coated. I would suggest you check the wheels for Ford and/or KH and date to make sure they are OEM in lieu of after market. You should also check the wheels for rim width, They will vary from 3.5" to over 4". V8 60 wheels are the narrow ones, 85 HP are wider. Bill 36 5 win delx cpe

Bob, Are you trying to restore a whole set like that, or do you only need one? Where are you located? Ken

Visit a powder coater first after they are checked out. They probably will want to blast them so they can powder coat them IMMEDIATELY after they are blasted. Charlie Stephens

Thanks everyone. Talked to a powder coater and he said not necessary to take apart.
