(1) Do I need to remove the cowl vent assembly to replace its gasket - working from topside it's a tight space behind its back bottom edge; (2) Older posts mention a cowl vent drain nipple under the dash that had a drain hose to engine compartment i.e. in some 1930 model years ..... does my '47 have such ?

You are able to install the new gasket without removing the vent lid. Be certain the mating surface is clean. I don't believe your '47 has a drain. If memory serves, the drain was gone by 1940. Mike "Kube" Kubarth This message was edited by kubes40 on 8-13-23 @ 11:32 AM
