Are there more theb one type of brake light swith for mechanal brakes? Shop said the one I ordered is the wrong one??

Yes, there are several brake light switches for Fords with mechanical brakes. According to the "Green Bible" the switch part numbers and their applications are: 48-13480 for 1935-38 Pass. Car 81T-13480 for 1932-38 Trucks 40-13480 for 1933-34 Pass. Car As you can see from the above, P.N. 48-13480 is the correct one for your 1936 Fordor Sedan.
