Topic: Placement of seat springs on back wood frame...

  I posting around...

The lower seat cushion went wonderfully.

The upper seat cushion springs are unattached to the wood frame. Should the springs be attached to the wood frame...and if so where do the top of the springs fit on the wood frame? These are original seat parts. The springs have small flat metal pieces with holes in them that appear to attach to the wood frame. 6 locations, left right and middle on the cross pieces.

I know the wood frame is correct. The top of the frame in the photo has a slant cut. I want to be sure the slant is positioned correctly...slanting forward from back to front.

I am so close to fitting this up. I bought an original Lebaron Bonney kit that was in storage until a year ago.

Here's the photo. And thank you all for sharing your expertise and experience as I bring my Grandpa's Ford back.

Having the small clamps is good. If that's an authentic wood frame, there should be holes where the corresponding screws were once placed.
