Provided your engine still has its original distributor, it was made by or for Ford. It is the same as the distributor used on 1937 to 1940 Fords and carries Ford part number 78-12127. In 1941 the advance curve and the part number were changed, the new part number is 11A-12127. Externally these distributors all appear to be the same.
