Topic: Windshield Wiper Motor Attachment Parts

On the early Fords the '32 - '36, the windshield motor was mounted inside, above the windshield and went through a hole through the curved portion above the windshield. Initially the motor had an inside slanted bushing both inside and out to hold it to the body contour. I am wondering if the Ford parts manual has any listing for these parts with part numbers etc. Trico at the time, if ordering a new motor, did not send these tapered bushings. Nor do they list them in their catalog. Can anyone give me any help??

Your '32-'36 closed car windshield wiper motor mounting description does not apply to '32-'34 closed cars as there were no slanted bushings used originally, either inside or outside. Instead, a slanted rubber washer used in concert with a chrome-plated cup washer was used on the outside to either seal ('32) and seal and retain ('33-'34) the wiper motor shaft/motor.

Some of the Trico books may have what your looking for. Suggest you contact "Clean Sweep" in Oregon they may be able to give you the Spec. What year and model are you working on? I have the Spec. for the 35 Cabriolet spacer which can be adapted from the longer spacers.
