  I have my windows out and want to remove the glass from the chrome frame without breaking it. Any suggestions before I dig in?? Thanks guys

  sorry guys.......These are the rear pivot windows on a 4 door that has the chrome frame/channel that holds the glass.

  It is likely that the packing around the glass has firmly glued the pane to the frame. You can try running a slim blade between the glass and frame to loosen the hold, while applying heat with a heat gun to soften the packing. The important thing is to not damage the frame. Glass is replaceable, but the frame would be very difficult to find. More often than not, the glass will either break during the process, or will have to be broken to remove it. Old glass tends to be brittle, and if there are any signs of delamination between the halves, it is time to replace it, anyway.

  Try squirting some lighter fluid around the edges of the glass where it meets the frame. Lighter fluid is Naptha and it will help release the seal of the glass setting tape.
