Anyone know where original floor covering can be bought for a 1932 Fordor Deluxe? Want as shipped from factory, Macs had listed a few years back and I never looked into if it was for origion or a aftermarket hot rod rug. No listing in Macs now. And Lebanon Bonn. Is out of business.

Found this source. Is listed as in stock. I don't know '32, so don't know if this is correct for your car. I wouldn't necessarily trust what the vendor says.

This source was noted by Kube, the club's 1940 advisor, as selling a very good reproduction mat for the 1940. I bought one for my 1940, and it fit and looks good.

That listed is for a '32 standard Tudor sedan and it can be readily altered to duplicate the original rubber mat in a '32 standard Fordor sedan, but Krider's car is a deluxe Fordor which came with woven carpet floor covering front, rear, and alongside the front seat, not rubber mats.

A source for a good reproduction of the carpet material was located recently and I'm trying to retrieve that information and will post it when found. A copy of the original engineering drawing likely can be obtained at the Benson Ford Research Center in Dearborn and with that the correct front and seat side carpeting can be reproduced by a local upholsterer. All edges of the original were bound in brown artificial leather.

A low-mileage original '32 deluxe Fordor's carpet is shown in the photo below.

Here are the U.S. companies that offer square weave carpeting that duplicates that originally used by Ford in '32 deluxe closed body types (and cabriolets and convertible sedans) plus a photo of one their offerings: relicate.com, kbfabrics.com, and apexleather.com.

The deluxe Fordor front carpet part number is B-160230-B, those of the floor on each side of the front seat, B-160242-B and B-160243-B, and that of the rear carpet, B-160240-B. You will need those part numbers to order the drawings from the BFRC in Dearborn. The lower 15% or so of each Fordor door was also trimmed with the same carpet.

I wanted to thank you for the info you've provided. If I need to start a new thread let me know. I am looking for carpet for the front of my 46 Super Deluxe. Did it come with carpet and if so will these suppliers be able to help me?
Thanks for your help.

I too would like to thank you 3w2 for providing those websites! I'll be looking for carpeting for my '34 and was wondering where to find it? That image of the German Square Weave is exactly what the original looks like.

  46coupe,

I plead ignorant regarding the details of post-WWII Fords (until about 1963), sorry.

Leadfoot,

As you likely know, '34 sedans originally only had carpeting in the rear, but I believe it was this same square weave material.
