Any ideas what to do. It started fine 5 days ago. now it turns over slow and no start. ?? Overhauled '37 enging just less then 1000 miles on it. when it ran it drove great and run very good. Starter is not new but it is less than 2 years old. great ground connections. spark is good, distributor is good. ??

If your starter turns over slowly, your battery may be discharged or going bad. Measure the voltage across the battery to see if it is 6V or more. Try charging the battery. If the battery won't hold a charge, take it to a reputable auto parts store to have it checked. NAPA stores sell 6V batteries and if they don't have your size in stock, they can probably order the correct one for your car.

Yes you are right. I do believe the battery is bad. It is about 2 years old. I should have bought a 4 yr one. oops.

Thank you for your response.:)
