I am going to put a 6v electric fuel pump in my 1937 V8-85. The lowest pressure pump I can find is 6 psi. I plan on putting a pressure regulator inline. From what I have read, 2.5 to 3 psi is where I should be with the pressure. Does this sound right to you guys?

The Airtex E8902 is the correct electric fuel pump for this application, however I see that it is not easy to locate one at this time. They are low pressure pumps made for older 6V cars. Might try epay or another online site. Stay Safe, Pat

I have the Airtex E8902 on my stock'46 Coupe, that I only use for "priming" after the car has sat for a long time. It is activated by a toggle switch under the lower edge of the dash, and I shut it off when I hear the sound of the pump start to change, meaning the carb is full. If you can't find this unit, make sure the one you buy is a "flow through" design, if you are running a stock fuel pump.
