  This spring my '51 developed a little driveline shake only around 30 in 2nd and 40 in high. As summer rolled in the shake worsened and seemed to be at a certain rpm regardless of clutch or transmission positions. I'm not a mechanic but I had to look underneath anyway, found a chunk of rubber missing from the mount above the transmission. A $20 rear motor mount a day to install it and the shake went away, hope this helps someone else!

  Thanks for posting. May someday help someone with similar symptom. Thats what this forum is all about, helping each other.

Edit: Nice to get a look at a Ford 6 cylinder for a change.

  Thanks Gordon !!! Love the pic of that sweet engine. Nice looking engine bay too. My first car was a 1950 Ford 2 door with a 6 cyl & overdrive. That little engine was torquey. I'd buy one today if I could find one near me.

  my '36 developed a LOT of entire body shake above 30 MPH. with no sign whatsoever of anything missing. or loose, even. anyone want to try guessing at what had happened?

  Dear Tom;
The battery is smaller like yours, I cut a piece of wood to fill the void and covered the top of it with wide electrical tape to look like the battery.
