Topic: new clutch

I am new to the old car game, I acquired a nicely restored 40 tudor last year, it had a number of mechanical issues that I have been addressing. The clutch had several inches of free travel that I resolved by scr*w*ng out the clevis within a few turns of the end, is it correct to assume that I will need to replace the clutch? I am no longer physically capable of this task. Is anyone aware of a good service in the Detroit area? I spoke with a Hot Rod shop called Wrenchers about possibly doing the job, any opinions on that? Thanks

did you join the local EARLY FORD CLUB National club and the local chapter
in you area,?
there might be members that could advise you, and even might help you in doing the job,
hope this helps 37Ragtopman
buy original FORD PARTS, if you can, try SOUTHSIDE OBSOLETE in MINN,
