Considering converting my 1936 Ford to a 12 volt system. Would like some information what to do with original gauges in this conversion. Thanks. Going to keep original gauges,

To use your original gauges, you will have to install one "Runtz" transistorized voltage reducer for each of the following electrical gauges: Fuel and Oil Pressure. For the Ammeter simply reverse the connections on the back of the gauge to correct for the reversed polarity from positive ground to negative ground. The mechanical temperature gauge needs no changes to function properly.

I would keep the car 6V pos ground unless you are adding Air Conditioning. The 6volt battery is really all you need and converting it to 12V could lead to problems. Tom
