Hello Friends, some of you may remember (louis bosquet and don oster especially) that I have been slowly restoring my '46 here in Rhode Island.

I have the body panels stripped, primed, and lacquered and have finally entered the reassembly phase! It feels good.

Reassembly of the doors has been fun...had a friend and we were able to get those on fine, as well as the rear fenders.

I'm at a loss for the reassembly of the front fenders / inner fenders. Is there an assembly diagram to help with that...obviously welting between them, but not sure how the front fenders and all those valence and inner fenders come together.

If you have the 41-48 Ford Book there are diagrams for both the grille and fenders. In general a piece of anti-squeak material goes on the tops of the inner fender pieces and a piece of welting goes between the body and the front and rear fenders. There are also pieces of welting going between the fenders and the front splash apron. However there should be no welting between the front fender and the fender extension.
