Were Ford sector shafts for the steering box marked by numbers? Thanks.

Sectors are often sold as a pair with the shaft and worm because if one is worn, the other is usually also in need of replacement. Otherwise, getting an acceptable adjustment is difficult or impossible. Any numbers would be the part designation, probably 3524, the Ford code.

yes they were. they were marked with the steering ratio not the part number. F-13, F-15, F-17 etc. You could buy a sector or the shaft and worm seperate as repair parts. The shaft and worm are also marked with numbers, they are listed in the green parts book p94.
