Topic: 34 Cabriolet wiper motor mounting question

My original '34 Cabriolet wiper motor has two rectangular "feet" that extend from the back of the motor - one on each side of the the wiper blade shaft. There is a corresponding horizontal rectangular recess with rounded ends in the header panel garnish that is located around the hole that the motor shaft goes through. The motor shaft passes through the header garish and the windshield frame until the two motor "feet" come into contact with the recess in the header, then a nut goes on the shaft from the outside to secure it in place. My question: Is the nut on the outside all that holds the wiper motor to the header?

While only a nut (40-17512-B) and a rubber grommet (40-761370) to secure the shaft to the windshield, the nut was chrome plated and had a smooth section to give the attachment a finished appearance, unlike that of a simple hex nut.

Good! I don't have the grommet, but I will get it. I have the correct nut, however. Just in case you happen to know (or can measure), I need to find out where to drill the hole for the vacuum line where it passes through the header garnish. For some reason, mine does not have the hole. In photos, it appears to be about 6" horizontally to the left of where the hose end is on the on the wiper motor. Finally, what size should the hole be for the hose? I have what is supposed to be the correct hose. Thanks. Jerry.
