Can i use a 49 t0 53 starter in my 59A motor , parts wise ring gear and bendix seem to be for all years . thanks kurt

I don't think that the Fordomatic starter (beginning with the 1951 model year) is the same as other 1949 to 1953 flathead Ford V8 starters.
