Is straightening a hood side hard to do? Should it se left to a pro?

It appears that once you insert the hinge rod in the enclosed portions along the top edge what shows in your photos will straighten out by itself. The amount of wave in the panel in the photo is pretty much normal when you remove the hinge rod.

3w2 is right, but that hood needs more than a hinge pin. Find a old school body man who understands metalergy. and can do it with heat an metal shrinkage along with hammers and a dolly can fix it. Usimg a Pro to do it right will allow you to build a car that you won't end up being sorry about that hood forever. He nay want to do it on the car.
